Welcome to Great Lakes FieldScope

The Great Lakes project invites participants to explore maps and graphs and contribute water quality data from across the Great Lakes watershed region, including parts of the United States and Canada. This web-based mapping and graphing collaboration tool is designed to engage students, volunteers, and citizens in Great Lakes science. FieldScope is part of a nationwide initiative to share, analyze, and interpret data.

Do you collect water quality data as part of a non-profit, research, or educational organization? Join the FieldScope project to share your data!

In Great Lakes FieldScope, you’ll find data layers to explore, such as:

  • Areas of Concern (pollution)
  • Fish Spawning Locations
  • Lakes, Streams, and Wetlands
  • Watershed Boundaries
  • And more!
